Chapter 33 SFP Threshold The following table describes the labels in this screen. Table 132 Advanced Application > SFP Threshold Setup LABEL Port Index Port Vendor Part Number Serial Number Revision transceiver User Input Enable Apply Cancel Type Current High Alarm Threshold High Warning Threshold Low Warning Threshold Low Alarm Threshold Apply Cancel DESCRIPTION Select the port number of an SFP slot on the Switch for which you want to configure the thresholds. This field displays the port number of the selected SFP slot. This field displays the vendor of the transceiver installed in the slot. This field displays the part number of the installed transceiver. This field displays the part number of the transceiver. This field displays the version of the transceiver. This field displays the name of the transceiver. Select this option to turn on the thresholds and configure the thresholds if you want to receive SNMP traps when the SFP slots are operating abnormally. Click Apply to save your changes to the Switch's run-time memory. The Switch loses these changes if it is turned off or loses power, so use the Save link on the top navigation panel to save your changes to the non-volatile memory when you are done configuring. Click Cancel to begin configuring this screen afresh. This is the type of device operating parameters. This shows the current value of each parameter measured for the installed transceiver. Specify the first upper limit for each parameter. The Switch sends an alarm trap when one of the parameter values goes over this value. Specify the second upper limit for each parameter. The Switch sends a warning trap when one of the parameter values goes over this value. This value should be smaller than the High Alarm Threshold and greater than the Low Warning Threshold. Specify the first lower limit for each parameter. The Switch sends a warning trap when one of the parameter values falls below this value. This value should be smaller than the High Warning Threshold and greater than the Low Alarm Threshold. Specify the second lower limit for each parameter. LABEL
DESCRIPTION
Port Index
Select the port number of an SFP slot on the Switch for which you want to configure the
thresholds.
Port
This field displays the port number of the selected SFP slot.
Vendor
This field displays the vendor of the transceiver installed in the slot.
Part Number
This field displays the part number of the installed transceiver.
Serial Number
This field displays the part number of the transceiver.
Revision
This field displays the version of the transceiver.
transceiver
This field displays the name of the transceiver.
User Input
Enable
Select this option to turn on the thresholds and configure the thresholds if you want to
receive SNMP traps when the SFP slots are operating abnormally.

Type
This is the type of device operating parameters.
Current
This shows the current value of each parameter measured for the installed transceiver.
High Alarm
Threshold
Specify the first upper limit for each parameter. The Switch sends an alarm trap when one of
the parameter values goes over this value.
High Warning
Threshold
Specify the second upper limit for each parameter. The Switch sends a warning trap when
one of the parameter values goes over this value. This value should be smaller than the High
Alarm Threshold and greater than the Low Warning Threshold.
Low Warning
Threshold
Specify the first lower limit for each parameter. The Switch sends a warning trap when one
of the parameter values falls below this value. This value should be smaller than the High
Warning Threshold and greater than the Low Alarm Threshold.
Low Alarm
Threshold
Specify the second lower limit for each parameter. The Switch sends an alarm trap when one
of the parameter values falls below this value. This value should be smaller than the Low
Warning Threshold.
