Chapter 33 SFP Threshold Table 131 Advanced Application > SFP Threshold Setup (continued) LABEL Cancel Port Index Type Current High Alarm Threshold High Warning Threshold Low Warning Threshold Low Alarm Threshold Apply Cancel DESCRIPTION Click Cancel to begin configuring this screen afresh. Select an SFP slot of the Switch for which you want to configure the thresholds. This is the type of device operating parameters. This shows the current value of each parameter measured for the installed transceiver. Specify the first upper limit for each parameter. The Switch sends an alarm trap when one of the parameter values goes over this value. Specify the second upper limit for each parameter. The Switch sends a warning trap when one of the parameter values goes over this value. This value should be smaller than the High Alarm Threshold and greater than the Low Warning Threshold. Specify the first lower limit for each parameter. The Switch sends a warning trap when one of the parameter values falls below this value. This value should be smaller than the High Warning Threshold and greater than the Low Alarm Threshold. Specify the second lower limit for each parameter. The Switch sends an alarm trap when one of the parameter values falls below this value. This value should be smaller than the Low Warning Threshold. Click Apply to save your changes to the Switch's run-time memory. The Switch loses these changes if it is turned off or loses power, so use the Save link on the top navigation panel to save your changes to the non-volatile memory when you are done configuring. Click Cancel to begin configuring this screen afresh. 33.1.1 SFP Status Use this screen to view the status of SFP slots on the Switch. "The port is not available" appears on this screen if you have not installed any mini-GBIC transceiver into the SFP slots. Click Advanced Application > SFP Threshold Setup > SFP Status to display the screen as shown. Figure 176 Advanced Application > SFP Threshold Setup > SFP Status 292 VES1724-56 User's Guide
