Changing the Machine Settings
LAN settings
For details on how to set LAN settings, refer to “Printing Out Network Setting Information” and
“Initializing Network Settings” of “Printing and Initializing Network Settings” in the
Setup Guide
.
Reset LAN settings
Restores the machine’s LAN settings to the factory default.
Print LAN details
Prints out the information of the machine’s network settings. For details on the network setting
information, refer to “Printing Out Network Setting Information” in the
Network Guide
.
Other Settings
Date display
Changes the display order for shooting dates to be printed.
Read/write attribute
Selects whether to allow data to be written onto memory cards from a computer.
You can select from <USB enabled> or <Read-only mode>.
Power save setting
Specifies the time until Power saving is enabled.
You can select from <5 minutes>, <15 minutes>, <1 hour> or <8 hours>. The initial value is set
to <1 hour>.
Adjust contrast
Use this to adjust the contrast of the LCD if it is too low or too high.
Important
This printout contains valuable information about your computer. Handle it with care.
Note
When <Print date only> or <Print date & file no.> is selected for <Date/file no.> in the tab 1
on the Settings (Memory Card) screen, the shooting date is printed in the date display
order you selected. For Print settings, see
“To Change Print Settings” on page 35
.
The shooting date format is as specified in the DPOF setting from DPOF printing.
Important
If you set this setting to <USB enabled>, card direct printing cannot be done. After you finish
operation of the memory card dedicated drive, be sure to revert this setting to <Read-only
mode>.
