170 Experiencing Multimedia 12.1 Camera Taking photos and recording video clips along with audio are easy with your device's built-in 2 megapixel camera. Before you capture a photo or video clip, adjust the camera lens at the back of the device to one of these modes: Normal mode To take shots or record videos of subjects in normal range. Macro mode To take shots or record videos of tiny objects or subjects in close-up range. When the camera is in macro mode, you can take detailed photos of objects as near as 10 cm from the camera lens. To open the Camera screen • Press the CAMERA button; or • Tap Start > Programs > Camera. The screen orientation automatically switches to landscape mode when you open Camera. To exit the Camera • Tap the Exit icon ( screen. ) on the Camera CAMERA button Capture modes The camera on your device allows you to capture pictures and video clips by using various built-in modes that provide you flexibility in taking your shots. The Camera mode is set to the Photo capture mode by default. The upper left corner of the screen displays the active capture mode.

12.1 Camera
Taking photos and recording video clips along with audio are easy with
your device’s built-in 2 megapixel camera.
Before you capture a photo or video clip, adjust the camera lens at the back
of the device to one of these modes:
Normal mode
To take shots or record videos of subjects in
normal range.
Macro mode
To take shots or record videos of tiny objects or
subjects in close-up range. When the camera is
in macro mode, you can take detailed photos of
objects as near as 10 cm from the camera lens.
To open the Camera screen
Press the CAMERA button; or
Tap
Start > Programs > Camera
.
The screen orientation automatically switches to
landscape mode when you open Camera.
To exit the Camera
Tap the
