Paper loading problems The front panel keeps indicating that paper is misaligned or incorrectly positioned. Roll paper • The roll paper may be loaded the wrong way. The paper should load over the roll towards you, see Loading roll paper. • The paper may be skewed. The right-hand edge must be parallel to the blue line on the front paper deflector. • Ensure that the paper is wrapped tightly on the roll. • Check that the paper is correctly loaded onto the spindle, see Installing a new roll on the printer. Sheet paper • The sheet must be loaded with the right-hand edge against the blue line on the printer platen and the front edge against the blue line just after the pinch rollers, see Loading sheet paper. • The paper may be crumpled or warped or may have irregular edges. • If you are using hand-cut paper, the edges may not form a right angle or they may be rough. Do not use hand- cut paper. Use only purchased sheet paper. • If the paper is curled with the curl up it will be very difficult to load. It is easier to load it with the curl down
