If the light is behind your subject, you can use this setting to increase the light on the front of your subject. (see Focusing the Camera on page 31). Fast Shot The camera uses a fixed focus instead of auto focus, allowing you to take pictures very quickly. Portrait The camera combines a smaller F-number to blur the background, with lower sharpness for a more natural effect.
