Problem I have to replace or recharge the batteries frequently. Possible cause Extended Image Display use for Live View or video recording, excessive flash use, and excessive zooming consume a lot of battery power. The NiMH batteries you are using were recharged incorrectly, or have drained on their own because they have not been used lately. Solution See Extending Battery Life on page 130. NiMH batteries are not fully charged when new, and they discharge over time whether or not they are installed in a camera.
