z After extensive use, an NiMH battery may begin to swell. If it becomes difficult to insert an NiMH battery into or remove the battery from the camera, the dock, or the quick recharger, discontinue use of the battery and replace it with a new one. Please recycle the old battery. Sleep Time-out for Power Conservation To conserve battery power, the Image Display turns off automatically if there is no button activity for 20 seconds when in Live View or 30 seconds when in any other mode. When the camera is connected to a computer, the Image Display turns off automatically 10 seconds after the connection is made. When the camera is in this "sleep" state, pressing any button will wake up the camera again. If no buttons are pressed during the sleep state, the camera will turn off after an additional 5 minutes, unless it is connected to a computer, printer, or optional HP AC power adapter.
