Type/Model Number Conversion This section provides an explanation of the Type and Model numbers for Type 62XX, 65XX, and 68XX computers. The Type Number contains the following information: Commercial Desktop series computer identification (300 or 700) Number of slots and bays Type of system board/riser connector(s) (Series specific) The Model Number contains the following information: Processor Type Hard disk drive size and type Amount of memory installed and preloaded software information, if installed The following figure shows the position of each digit of the type number and model number, and description of each position.
