Troubleshooting 134 Duplex Unit Missing Try one or more of the following: • Make sure the duplex unit is properly installed at the back of the printer to clear the message. • Cancel the current job. E‑mail Server Not Specified Try one or more of the following: • Touch Continue to return to the previous menu. • Make sure that the e‑mail server has been specified. From the home screen, touch > E‑mail Setup > SMTP Setup. Enter the SMTP server settings, and then touch OK or Accept to save each item. • If necessary, make sure that the network to which your printer connects has an Internet connection. Some e‑mail servers may not require an Internet connection, such as those that are set up in private networks. For more information on your e-mail account settings, contact your e‑mail provider or your system support person. E‑mail Transmission Error Try one or more of the following: • Make sure the printer is connected to an Ethernet or wireless network before sending an e-mail. The printer supports only one active network connection (Ethernet or wireless) at a time. • If necessary, make sure the network is connected to the Internet for the printer to communicate with the SMTP server. If the printer cannot connect to the Internet, then contact your system support person. • Make sure the SMTP server settings are correct. • Touch OK to clear the message. Exit Bin Full Remove paper from the exit bin to clear the message. Failed to Connect The printer cannot detect a dial tone. Check for a dial tone on your telephone line.
