Chapter 7 Wireless LAN Table 29 Network > Wireless LAN > Security: WPA/WPA2 LABEL DESCRIPTION Encryption Type Select TKIP to enable Temporal Key Integrity Protocol (TKIP) security on your wireless network. Use this for WPA-PSK security mode and if the other access points on your network support do not have an AES option. If you select this, IEEE802.11n compliant WLAN devices cannot associate with the ZyXEL Device. Select AES to enable Advanced Encryption System (AES) security on your wireless network. AES provides superior security to TKIP. Use AES for WPA2-PSK security mode or if the other access points on your network support it. Also select this if you have IEEE802.11n compliant WLAN devices that associate with the ZyXEL Device. Radius Server IP Address Server Port Select TKIPAES MIX to allow both TKIP and AES types of security in your wireless network. Use this WPA2-PSK security mode that you want to make WPA compatible. Enter the IP address of the external authentication server in dotted decimal notation. Enter the port number of the external authentication server. The default port number is 1812. Share Secret You need not change this value unless your network administrator instructs you to do so with additional information. Enter a password (up to 31 alphanumeric characters) as the key to be shared between the external authentication server and the ZyXEL Device. Apply Reset The key must be the same on the external authentication server and your ZyXEL Device. The key is not sent over the network. Click this to save your changes back to the ZyXEL Device. Click this to reload the previous configuration for this screen. 7.4 The QoS Screen This screen allows you to enable or disable wireless quality of service. 116 FSG2200HNU User's Guide
