Chapter 2 Introducing the Web Configurator 2.2.2 Navigation Panel The navigational panel for the administrator account ("admin") differs from the navigational panel of the user account ("user"). Some of screens/features are not visible or configurable in the user account. Use the menu items on the navigation panel to open screens to configure ZyXEL Device features. The following tables describe each menu item. Table 3 Navigation Panel Summary (Admin account) LINK TAB FUNCTION Status This screen shows the ZyXEL Device's general device and network status information. Use this screen to access the statistics and client list. Network WAN Internet Connection Use this screen to view and configure the WAN settings on the ZyXEL Device for Internet access. You can also assign egress queues to each WAN interface you configure. Default Gateway This screen is not available in the user account. Use this screen to select a WAN interface through which you want to obtain a system default server and DNS server. LAN Multicast IP This screen is not available in the user account. Use this screen to select the WAN interface for multicast traffic. Multicast delivers IP packets to just a group of hosts on the network. Use this screen to configure LAN TCP/IP settings and DHCP settings. DHCP Server This screen is not available in the user account. Use this screen to configure the DNS server information that the ZyXEL Device sends to the DHCP client devices on the LAN. Client List IP Alias This screen is not available in the user account. Use this screen to view current DHCP client information and to always assign specific IP addresses to individual MAC addresses (and host names).
