The following buttons are available:
Test Alarm
(
SCSI only
)
Tests the audible alarm on the controller.
Flash
Displays the Flash Configuration window to update
the controller firmware and BIOS.
Caching
Selects the controller cache parameters.
Defaults
Resets the controller configuration to factory default
settings.
Cancel
Cancels any changes you have made and returns to
the Host Bus Adapter Info window.
SCSI ID
(
SCSI only
)
Your controllers is set to ID 7 by default. Refer to the
Adaptec RAID Installation Guide
for more
information about selecting an alternate SCSI ID.
SCSI TERMPWR
(
SCSI only
)
By default, SCSI RAID controllers supply
termination power through the TERMPWR line on
the SCSI cable. This setting does not normally need
to be changed.
Transfer
(SCSI only)
The maximum possible transfer rate. The controller
automatically negotiates with each device at power-
up, or reset, to determine the maximum transfer
rate.
This parameter should only be changed when
troubleshooting SCSI bus errors.
If data errors are
eliminated by setting the value to a lower rate, there
might be problems with the length of the bus or the
bus termination.
Termination
(SCSI only)
This parameter sets SCSI termination for the
controller. The default value (Auto) should not be
changed unless both internal and external cables are
attached to the controller or you are using an 8-bit
(Narrow) cable. Refer to the
Adaptec RAID
Installation Guide
for information about configuring
SCSI bus termination.
Address, IRQ
These fields display the controller memory address
and IRQ value assigned by the host BIOS. These
values cannot be changed.
