The scanning unit may not be in its home position. Close the ScanGear CS-U window if it is open. Try turning the scanner off and back on again by unplugging and plugging in the USB cable. Colors not what you expect. Problem: Cause1: Solution: The colors in the preview image appear different from the colors in the original image. The scanned colors need to be adjusted. Make sure the Apply button of Auto Tone is selected.(p.29) If further adjustments are necessary, use the Tone sheet buttons.(p.40) Parts of an image are missing or the image surrounded by extra white area. Problem: Cause: Solution: Some parts are missing from the image in the Preview Area, or the image is not aligned in the Preview Area. The original has been placed on the scanner improperly, or cropped the larger area than the original. Problem:
