Setting the User Bit Setting the User Bit The user bit can be selected from the date or the time of recording, or an identification code consisting of 8 characters in the hexadecimal system. There are sixteen possible characters: the numbers 0 to 9 and the 76 letters A to F. The user bit is recorded with XF-AVC clips and can be output from the SDI OUT terminal (u only) and HDMI OUT terminal. Operating modes: Setting an Hexadecimal Code 1 Open the [User Bit Settings] screen. > [3 # Recording Setup] > [User Bit Type] > [ Setting] > [i] • The user bit setting screen appears with an orange selection frame on the leftmost character. • Select [Reset] to reset the user bit to [00 00 00 00] and return to the previous screen. 2 Select a character you want to change and then select [Î] or [Í] to change it as necessary. • Change the rest of the characters in the same way. 3 Select [OK] and then select [X]. • Select [Cancel] to close the screen without changing the user bit.
