PROBLEM CAUSE SOLUTION Saw vibrates excessiveUy. Saw is noisy when running, Carriage does not travel smoothly in track under arm. Saw stalls when ripping. 1. BUade is warped, 2. Saw is not mounted secureUy. 3. Work surface is uneven, 1. Motor needs attention, 1. Track is dirty or sticky. 2. Carriage bearings are bad. 3. Blade or teeth are dull or bent. 4. Blade is out of alignment. 5. Board is warped. 1. Blade or teeth are dull or bent. 2. Fence is not straight. 3. Work is being fed too fast. 4. Wrong blade is being used. 5. Column tube is too loose in the column support. 6. Arm is misaligned or loose. 7. Yoke is loose on carriage. 8. Sawdust has accumulated between tables. 1. RepUace the Made, See the removaU procedure in Assembly section, 2. Tighten aH hardware, 3. Reposifion on a fiat surface, Adjust the bveHng feet on bgs. 1. Have the motor checked at your nearest Sears Service Center. 1. Clean track. See Installing Carriage Assembly in Assembfy section. 2. Replace carriage bearings. Contact your nearest Sears service center, 3. Sharpen or replace the blade. See the removal procedure in Assembly section. 4. Use blade alignment procedures in Adjustment section. 5.
