Purpose
Used to configure the 802.1x capability of a range of ports on the Switch.
Syntax
config 802.1x capability ports [<portlist> | all] [authenticator | none]
Description
The
config 802.1x
command has four capabilities that can be set for each
port. Authenticator, Supplicant, Authenticator and Supplicant, and None.
Parameters
<portlist>
Specifies a port or range of ports to be configured.
all
Specifies all of the ports on the Switch.
authenticator
A user must pass the authentication process to gain access
to the network.
none
The port is not controlled by the 802.1x functions.
Restrictions
Only administrator-level users can issue this command.
Example usage:
To configure 802.1x capability on ports 1-10:
DES-3026:4#config 802.1x capability ports 1–10 authenticator
Command: config 802.1x capability ports 1–10 authenticator
Success.
