Parameters − Specifies that the command will be applied to an index of hosts. There are four available indexes, numbered 1 through 4. severity − Severity level indicator. Purpose
Used to display the syslog protocol status as enabled or disabled.
Syntax
show syslog
Description
The
show syslog
command displays the syslog status as enabled
or disabled.
Parameters
None.
Restrictions
None.
Example usage:
To display the current status of the syslog function:
DES-3026:4#show syslog
Command: show syslog
Syslog Global State: Enabled

create syslog host
Purpose
Used to create a new syslog host.
Syntax
create syslog host <index 1-4> {severity [informational |
warning | all] | facility [local0 | local1 | local2 | local3 | local4 |
local5 | local6 | local7] | udp_port <udp_port_number> |
ipaddress <ipaddr> state [enable | disable]}
Description
The
create syslog host
command is used to create a new syslog
host.
Parameters
<index 1-4>

Specifies that the command will be applied to an index
of hosts.
There are four available indexes, numbered 1 through 4.
severity

Severity level indicator. These are described in the
following:
