Section 3 - Configuration SNMP The Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) is an application layer protocol to remotely manage network devices so you can find and solve network problems with ease. After making your changes, click the Save Settings button. Note this option is only available in Router mode. SNMP Local: Enable this option to allow local SNMP management. SNMP Remote: Enable this option to allow remote SNMP management. Get Community: Enter a name for the read community of your SNMP server. Set Community: Enter a name for the write community of your SNMP server. IP 1: Set the first IP address to be managed here. IP 2: Set a second IP address to be managed here. IP 3: Set a third IP address to be managed here. IP 4: Set a fourth IP address to be managed here. SNMP Version: Choose the version of SNMP to be used by your server.
