Follow the procedure listed in Before working inside your system. Steps 1. Open the expansion card retention latch. 2. Remove the existing expansion card or filler bracket from the slot. NOTE: Store this bracket for future use. Filler brackets must be installed in empty expansion-card slots to maintain FCC certification of the system. The brackets also keep dust and dirt out of the system and aid in proper cooling and airflow inside the system. 3. Holding the card by its edges, align the card with the expansion card connector on the system board. 4. Insert the card firmly into the expansion card connector until the card is firmly seated. 5. Steps
1.

2.
