Follow the procedure listed in After working inside your system. System memory System memory guidelines The PowerEdge systems support DDR4 Registered DIMMs (RDIMMs), and Load Reduced DIMMs (LRDIMMs). System memory holds the instructions that are executed by the processor. Your system contains 16 memory sockets. Processor 1 supports up to 10 DIMMs, and Processor 2 supports up to 6 DIMMS. Six memory channels are allocated to each processor. Processor 1 has four 2 DIMM slots per channel and two 1 DIMM slot per channel, Processor 2 has six 1 DIMM per channel.
