Creating Labels Using the Keyboard You can use the built-in keyboard to design and create a variety of labels. Entering Text Saving Labels Deleting Labels Adding Symbols Adding Frames Adding Tables Changing Font Size Changing the Label Font Adding Punctuation Adding Accented Letters Changing Label Format Settings Entering Text You can use the built-in keyboard to enter letters, numbers, and other characters. • To type an uppercase letter, press the key + the letter. • To use all uppercase letters, press the key, then type your text. • To start a new line, press the key. The line number appears on the display. Note: You can print up to 8 lines of text, depending on the label format and tape width. If you try to exceed the maximum, an error message appears. • To start a new block of text, press the + keys. Text blocks allow you to apply styles to one block at a time. The following example shows two blocks of text on the display and on a printed label: 23
