Inconsistent colors after loading toner Problem Solution Another toner color may be low. Check the printer control panel for a TONER LOW message and replace the toner cartridge if necessary. Toner cartridges may be improperly installed. Verify that each toner cartridge is installed properly. Printed colors do not match screen colors Problem Solution Extremely light screen colors are not being printed. Your software application may interpret extremely light colors as white. If so, avoid using extremely light colors. Extremely dark screen colors are being printed Your software application may interpret in black. extremely dark colors as black. If so, avoid using extremely dark colors. The colors on your computer monitor differ from the printer output. Try selecting Screen Match in the color control tab of your printer driver. Color density and balance are not set correctly. For instructions on adjusting color density, see the chapter 4. The toner density sensor may need cleaning. See chapter 7 for instructions on cleaning the toner density sensor. Note Several factors can influence your ability to match printed colors to those on your monitor.
