1 Introducing the Advanced Setup Guide System Board Configuration Switches Video Memory If you notice that certain applications need more memory than is already installed to display more colors, or for higher resolutions or increased speed, extra video memory can be installed Depending on the model you have purchased, your computer is supplied with one of the following: • An integrated 32/64-bit Ultra VGA controller on a PCI bus, with 1 MB of standard video memory. Memory can be upgraded to 2 MB by installing two 512 KB modules. • A Matrox MGA Millennium II card, which has 4 MB of standard video memory that can be increased to 16 MB. For more information about upgrading the video memory, contact your HP-authorized support agent or reseller. The Matrox MGA millennium video card is installed in one of the PCI slots on the backplane. Refer to the section "Backplane" on page 80 for information on how the expansion card slots are arranged.
