NOTE: When the HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 5200 series operates in single-cartridge mode, a message is displayed on the printer display. If the message is displayed and two ink cartridges are installed in the printer, verify that the protective piece of plastic tape has been removed from each ink cartridge. When plastic tape covers the ink cartridge contacts, the printer cannot detect that the ink cartridge is installed. Exit single-cartridge mode ● Install two ink cartridges in the HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 5200 series to exit single-cartridge mode. Store printing supplies Cartridges can be left in the printer for extended periods of time. However, to assure optimal cartridge health, be sure to turn off the printer properly when the printer is not in use. For more information, see Turn the printer off on page 20. Cartridge warranty information The HP cartridge warranty is applicable when the cartridge is used in its designated HP printing device. This warranty does not cover HP ink cartridges that have been refilled, remanufactured, refurbished, misused, or tampered with. During the warranty period the cartridge is covered as long as the HP ink is not depleted and the end of warranty date has not been reached.
