CAUTION: DIMMs can be damaged by improper handing. Always use an anti-static wrist strap and grounding mat, and discharge static electricity before touching DIMMs. To remove a memory module: NOTE: Lay the server on its side with the open side facing up. If necessary, remove any accessory boards or cables that prevent access to the memory socket. 1. Completely open the holding clips securing the module. 2. Gently pull the memory module upward to remove it from the socket. Align the notch on the bottom edge of the module with the keyed surface of the DIMM slot and then press the module fully into the slot. 2.
