4.11 Network Management Interfaces Rev 1.6.9 4.11.1 SNMP Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP), is a network protocol for the management of a network and the monitoring of network devices and their functions. SNMP supports asynchronous event (trap) notifications and queries.
