Pre-disassembly procedures Perform the following steps before servicing the workstation: 1. Remove or disengage any security devices that prohibit opening the workstation. 2. Close any open software applications. 3. Remove any diskettes or CDs from the workstation. 4. Exit the operating system. 5. Shut down the workstation and any peripheral devices that are connected to it. 6. Disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet and then from the workstation. 7.
