NIC Configuration Screen Screen Field Descriptions: 1. Wake on LAN (PME) Option Values: Enabled Disabled Help Text: Enables or disables PCI PME function for Wake on LAN capability from LAN adapters. Comments: Enables/disables PCI/PCIe PME# signal to generate Power Management Events (PME) and ACPI Table entries required for Wake on LAN (WOL). However, note that this will enable WOL only with an ACPI-capable Operating System which has the WOL function enabled. 2. PXE 1GbE Option ROM Option Values: Enabled Disabled Help Text: Enable/Disable Onboard/IOM NIC PXE Option ROM Load. Comments: This selection is to enable/disable the 1GbE PXE Option ROM that is used by all Onboard and IO Module 1 GbE controllers. This option is grayed out and not accessible if the discs Option ROM is enabled. It can co-exist with the 10 GbE PXE Option ROM, the 10 GbE FCoE Option ROM, or with an InfiniBand controller Option ROM. If the 1GbE PXE Option ROM is disabled, and no other Option ROM is enabled, the system cannot perform a Network Boot and cannot respond for Wake-on-LAN. Help Text:
