Server System Features Intel® Light-Guided Diagnostics Both server boards have several onboard diagnostic LEDs to assist in troubleshooting board-level issues. This section provides a description of the location and function of each LED on the server boards. 5-volt Stand-by LED Several server management features of these server boards require a 5V standby voltage supplied from the power supply. The features and components that require this voltage must be present when the system is "power-down". The LED is illuminated when AC power is applied to the platform and 5V standby voltage is supplied to the server board by the power supply. Fan Fault LED Fan fault LEDs are present for the two CPU fans and the one rear system fan. The fan fault LEDs illuminate when the corresponding fan has fault. issues. This section provides a description of the location and function of each LED on the server
boards.
5-volt Stand-by LED
Several server management features of these server boards require a 5V standby voltage supplied
from the power supply. The features and components that require this voltage must be present when
the system is “power
-
down”
. The LED is illuminated when AC power is applied to the platform
and 5V standby voltage is supplied to the server board by the power supply.
Fan Fault LED
Fan fault LEDs are present for the two CPU fans and the one rear system fan. The fan fault LEDs
illuminate when the corresponding fan has fault.
CPU Fault LED
