System Recovery Jumpers Server System Features Jumper Name BMC Force Update (J1C1) BIOS Default (J1F1) BIOS Recover (J1F2) Password Clear (J2F3) ME Force Update (J2F2) Jumper Purpose If pins 2-3 are selected, the Integrated BMC Force Update Mode is enabled. These pins should be selected on 1-2 for normal system operation. If pins 2-3 are selected, the BIOS settings are cleared on the next reset. These pins should be selected on 1-2 for normal system operation. If pins 2-3 are selected, the system can only boot from EFIbootable recovery media with the recovery BIOS image. The main system BIOS will not boot. These pins should be selected on 1-2 for normal system operation. If pins 2-3 are selected, administrator and user passwords are cleared within five to ten seconds after the system is powered on. These pins should be selected on 1-2 for normal system operation. System Recovery Jumpers
Jumper Name
Jumper Purpose
BMC Force Update (J1C1)
If pins 2-3 are selected, the Integrated BMC Force Update
Mode is enabled. These pins should be selected on 1-2 for
normal system operation.
BIOS Default (J1F1)
If pins 2-3 are selected, the BIOS settings are cleared on the
