Chapter 1 - About the Computer Remap the Power Button By default, pressing the Power button on the keypad shuts down the computer. You can change this by going to the Power Options Properties menu. 1 Tap Start > Control Panel > Power Options and select the Advanced tab. 2 In the drop-down menu, select the setting you want to assign to the Power button and tap OK. Enter Characters on the Keypad You need to use the the orange modifier ( b ) key, the green modifier ( Alt ) key, and the Control ( Ctrl ) key to access all characters and functions on the keypad. To type a character: • Press the key for that character. To type an orange character or function printed on the key or overlay: • Press b and then press the key for the character or function. To use the green function printed on the overlay: • Press Alt key and then press the key next to the function. To type a single uppercase letter: • Press ] and then the letter key. To type all uppercase letters: • Press b ] to turn on Caps Lock, and then press the letter keys. Remap the Power Button
By default, pressing the
Power
button on the keypad shuts down the

Enter Characters on the Keypad
You need to use the the orange modifier (

To type a character:
Press the key for that character.
