Chapter 5 - Use WWAN and GPS Communications Activate CDMA Communications To activate the CDMA radio module in your computer, you need to contact your wireless carrier and set up an account for each computer. The following table lists the carriers that Intermec currently supports. If your carrier is not listed in the table, please contact Intermec product support to see if it is now supported. Currently Supported Carriers Country United States Carriers Verizon The carrier will require the International Mobile Equipment Identity number (IMEI) to start the activation process. You can find the IMEI number in the OneClick Internet application, tap Settings and the Info tab. After you supply the IMEI number to your carrier, they will respond with values that you must enter in the OneClick (if required). Your carrier sales contact and an Intermec representative can guide you through the process. 1 Press the Power button. The computer turns off. 2 Connect an external WWAN antenna. For more information, see "Connect an External Antenna" on page 21. 3 Press the Power button again to turn on the computer. 4 Select Start > All Programs > OneClick Internet > OneClick Internet. The Oneclick Internet application opens. 5 Tap Settings and select the General tab. 6 Select Automated Activation and tap Next. 7 Enter *22899 in the text field and tap Next. CDMA communications is activated. 8 Verify your settings by tapping Settings in the OneClick Internet application and selecting the Network tab.
