2.16 TCP/IP setting function 2 2.16 TCP/IP setting function When a log-on to the administrator mode becomes successful, the machine enables setting of the IP Address and registration of the DNS Server. 2.16.1 Setting the IP Address 0 The control panel and the Web Connection can be used for this setting. 0 For the procedure to access the administrator mode, see page 2-2. 0 Do not leave the machine with the setting screen of administrator mode left shown on the display. If it is absolutely necessary to leave the machine, be sure first to log off from the administrator mode. 1 Call the administrator mode. 2 Set [Network] - [TCP/IP Setting] - [TCP/IP Settings1] - [TCP/IP] to [ON]. 3 Tap [Manual Setting] in [IPv4]. 4 Select [IP Address] and set the IP Address. % If [Auto Setting] is selected for IP Address Setting Method in step 3, select the means of acquiring the IP Address automatically from among DHCP, BOOTP, ARP/PING, AUTO IP, and the like. 5 Tap [OK]. 6 Tap [OK]. 2.16.2 Registering the DNS server 0 The control panel and the Web Connection can be used for this setting. 0 For the procedure to access the administrator mode, see page 2-2. 0 Do not leave the machine with the setting screen of administrator mode left shown on the display. When a log-on to the administrator mode becomes successful, the machine enables setting of the IP Address

and registration of the DNS Server.

Setting the IP Address

The control panel and the

Web Connection

can be used for this setting.

For the procedure to access the administrator mode, see page 2-2.

Do not leave the machine with the setting screen of administrator mode left shown on the display. If it

is absolutely necessary to leave the machine, be sure first to log off from the administrator mode.

Call the administrator mode.

Set [Network] - [TCP/IP Setting] - [TCP/IP Settings1] - [TCP/IP] to [ON].

Tap [Manual Setting] in [IPv4].

Select [IP Address] and set the IP Address.

If [Auto Setting] is selected for IP Address Setting Method in step 3, select the means of acquiring

the IP Address automatically from among DHCP, BOOTP, ARP/PING, AUTO IP, and the like.

Tap [OK].

Make the necessary settings for the DNS Server.

If [ON] is selected from the DNS Server Auto Obtain and DNS Domain Name Auto Retrieval, the DNS

Server Address and DNS Domain Name are automatically acquired.

Tap [OK].
