Option a Face priority x Manual Description The camera automatically detects and focuses on a face (see "Using Face Detection" (A67)for more information). If the camera detects multiple faces, the camera focuses on the 29m 0s face closest to the camera. 970 When non-human subjects are photographed, or a subject with Focus area which no face can be detected is framed, the camera automatically selects the focus areas (up to 9) that contain the subject closest to the camera. When the shutter- release button is pressed halfway, the focus area selected by the camera is displayed on the monitor (multiple areas may light up). Choose manually the focus position from 99 areas in the screen. This option is suited to situations in which the intended subject is relatively still and not positioned at the center of the frame. Rotate the multi selector or press H, I, J or K to move the focus area to where the subject is, and take a picture.
