Movie Menu Maximum Movie Length The following table lists the approximate maximum movie length that can be saved on a 4 GB memory card. Note that the maximum movie length and file size that can be actually saved can be different depending on the image composition and subject motion even when the memory cards have the same capacity and movie options setting are the same. Also, the maximum movie length that can be saved may differ depending on the make of the memory card. The maximum movie length for a single movie is displayed on the screen during movie recording. If the camera becomes hot, a movie recording in progress may be terminated even if there is more time available for recording. • After removing the memory card, check the indicator showing maximum movie length that can be stored in the internal memory (COOLPIX S9500: approximately 23 MB, COOLPIX S9400: approximately 65 MB) on the screen during recording. Recording Movies in Slow Motion and Fast Motion (HS Movie) When Movie options in the movie menu is set to HS movie (E46), HS (high speed) movies can be recorded. Movies recorded using HS movie can be played back in slow motion at 1/8 to 1/2 of normal playback speed, or played back in fast motion at a speed two times faster than normal speed. 1 Press the b (emovie-record) button to start recording. • Movie recording starts in HS mode when Open with HS footage in the movie menu is set to On.
