Displaying, editing and erasing your pictures Initializing cards (Formatting) • You should check the images on the card carefully before initializing the card. • Initialization erases all the data on the card, including protected images. When you initialize a card you have already used, check that you do not erase any important data. • If you use a non-Olympus brand commercially available card or card that has been formatted on a personal computer or other device, it may not be recognized by the camera. In this case, the card should be initialized (formatted) on the camera before use. • You cannot initialize a card that is protected by a write-protect sticker. 6 155
