Shooting and Playback Basics Using the flash (Auto-Flash) When flash is needed, the orange lamp beside the viewfinder lights when you press the shutter button down halfway. If the flash mode is set to "AUTO", the flash automatically fires in low-light and backlit conditions. See P.124 for information on the other flash modes. The default flash mode is "AUTO". 2 DIAL P A/S/M 1 1 Check that the control panel does not show the , or icon.
