Figure 10-13 IGMP Authentication The following entries are displayed on this screen: IGMP Authentication Port Select: Click the Select button to quick-select the corresponding port based on the port number you entered. Select: Select the desired port for IGMP Authentication feature configuration. It is multi-optional. Port: Displays the port number of the switch. IGMP Authentication: LAG: Select Enable/Disable IGMP Authentication for the desired port. Displays the LAG number which the port belongs to. Note: The IGMP Authentication feature will take effect only when AAA function is enabled and the RADIUS server is configured. For how to enable AAA function and configure RADIUS server, please refer to 13.7 AAA. 10.2 MLD Snooping MLD Snooping Multicast Listener Discovery(MLD)snooping is applied for efficient distribution of IPv6 multicast data to clients and routers in a Layer 2 network. With MLD snooping, IPv6 multicast data is selectively forwarded to a list of ports that want to receive the data, instead of being flooded to all ports in a VLAN. The list is constructed and maintained by snooping IPv6 multicast control packets. MLD snooping performs a similar function in IPv6 as IGMP snooping in IPv4. 159
