Basic Guide Try Playing a Variety of Instrument Voices Basic Guide In addition to the wonderfully realistic piano sounds, you can select and play other musical instrument Voices, such as organ, guitar, bass, strings, sax, trumpet, drums and percussion, and even sound effects. Selecting a Main Voice This procedure selects the Main Voice for playing on the keyboard. 3 Play the keyboard. 1 Press the [VOICE] button to call up the Main Voice selection display. The current Voice number and name will be highlighted. Preset Voice Types 001-147 163-543 Instrument Voices 148-162 (Drum Kit) Various drum and percussion sounds are assigned to individual keys. Details on assigning instruments to keys are provided in the Drum Kit List of the separate Data List. One Touch Setting (OTS) The One Touch Setting feature automatically 000 selects the most suitable Voice for you when you select a Style or Song. Simply select Voice number "000" to activate this feature. Current Voice number and name 2 Use the dial to select the desired Voice. The Voice List is provided on the front panel, or in the separate Data List. Playing the "Grand Piano" When you want to reset various settings to default and simply play a Piano sound, press the [PORTABLE GRAND] button. The Voice number is set to 001 "Natural! Grand Piano" and all the settings are turned off automatically, so only the Grand Piano Voice will play over the entire keyboard. Select 022 Cool! Organ DGX-650 Owner's Manual 23
