Chapter 12 Remote Management 12.7 The SNMP Screen Use this screen to have a manager station administrate your NWA over the network. To change your NWA's SNMP settings, click REMOTE MGMT > SNMP. The following screen displays. Figure 57 Remote Management: SNMP The following table describes the labels in this screen. Table 40 Remote Management: SNMP LABEL DESCRIPTION SNMP Configuration Get Community Set Community Trap Destination Enter the Get Community, which is the password for the incoming Get and GetNext requests from the management station. Enter the Set community, which is the password for incoming Set requests from the management station. Type the IP address of the station to send your SNMP traps to. Trap Community Type the trap community, which is the password sent with each trap to the SNMP manager. Configure SNMPv3 User Profile This field is available only when SNMPv1 or SNMPv2 is selected in the SNMP Version field. Click this to go to the SNMPv3 User Profile screen, where you can configure administration and user login details. SNMP Service Port Service Access You may change the server port number for a service if needed, however you must use the same port number in order to use that service for remote management.
