CONTENTS 4. Set the base fabric for the appliqué in the embroidery frame, and embroider "Appliqué Position." * Use the same thread color you plan to use when attaching the appliqué in the next step. 1 - 2 - 5. Apply a thin layer of fabric glue or temporary spray adhesive to the back of the appliqué material cut out in step 2, and place it on the base fabric, aligning the appliqué with the "Appliqué Position" pattern from step 4. * If the appliqué material is a lightweight fabric, you may want to use a fusible web on the back to stabilize the fabric and for appliqué placement. Fuse appliqué in place with an iron. Do not remove fabric from the frame to iron the appliqué material. 3 - 4 - 5 - 6. After attaching the appliqué material, sew "Appliqué." * Some patterns may not show all three appliqué steps. Sometimes the "Appliqué" step will be shown as a color. 6 - 7 - 7. To sew the rest of the embroidery pattern, change the thread to the next thread color on the color sewing order display, and begin sewing. * For best sewing results clip all threads between color steps. 8 - 9 - ?! 5-34 Embroidery Index
