3 Remove the empty ink tank. (1) Push the tab. (2) Remove the ink tank. Important Handle ink tank carefully to avoid staining clothing or the surrounding area. Discard empty ink tank according to the local laws and regulations regarding disposal of consumables. 4 Prepare a replacement ink tank. (1) Unpack a new ink tank and remove the orange protective cap. Dispose of the protective cap. Important Do not touch the electrical contacts (A) on the ink tank. Doing so can cause the printer to malfunction or (A) become unable to print.
