After calculating the value of n, you use the Master Select command to send the value to the printer. To send the Master Select command for double-wide, 12 cpi, and double-strike, you would use the decimal codes 27, 33, and 49. ASCII: ESC ! 1 Decimal: 27 33 49 Hexadecimal: 1B 21 31 Consider these things when you use the Master Select command: l Master Select cancels any of the listed features that you do not set. For example, if you have already set 12 cpi, and you try to use Master Select to set emphasized double-strike only, the character width is reset to 10 cpi. l Proportional overrides 10 cpi, 12 cpi, and condensed. l Double-strike cannot be combined with NLQ mode.
