Adjustment Platen gap adjustment 1. Turn the Frame, ribbon knob( Thumb-screw) in the direction of the arrow to remove the Frame, ribbon ass'y from the printer and remove the Manual cutter. 2. Move the Print head unit so that it is 1 to 2 cm (0.39 to 0.79") from portion A of the Spring, paper hold plate and insert the scaling gauge between the Print head unit and Platen. 3. Measure the space and if the value is out of the standard value [Square head with the radiator : 0.60 mm ± 0.05 mm (0.024 ± 0.002")], [Round head without the radiator : 0.55 ± 0.05 mm (0.022 ± 0.002")]turn the Shaft holders, adjusting roller to get the value within the specified range. 5-46 Disassembly, Assembly, and Adjustment Rev.
