Principles of Operation Power Supply Circuitry The power supply circuit is compact, uses a switching method, and is attached to the main circuit board.The following sections describe the power supply circuitry for the printer. The following table shows the power supply voltages and their usages. The filter circuit reduces outside noise and prevents internally-generated noise from flowing through the +24V power line. +24V DC circuit The +24V power from the filter circuit is input to printer power and the +5V regulator circuit. The power supply circuit is compact, uses a switching method, and is attached to the main
circuit board.The following sections describe the power supply circuitry for the printer. The
following table shows the power supply voltages and their usages.
Filter circuit
The +24V (24V to 30V) DC power is input from the CN1 connector through the filter circuit. The
filter circuit reduces outside noise and prevents
internally-generated noise from flowing
through the +24V power line.
+24V DC circuit
The +24V power from the filter circuit is input to printer power and the +5V regulator circuit.
Printer power and drawer drive power are the converted +24 ±1V that is regulated by series of
regulators (U2 to U4).
