GPSmap 60 GPS Navigation Using Find Find POI Topic List Search Method Select Category Searching for a Point of Interest You can use the Find Point of Interest feature to locate a nearby restaurant, lodging, landmark, public building, park, etc. However, you must have downloaded MapSource detailed mapping that supports this feature; otherwise these options, plus Address and Intersection options, are not functional. To find a point of interest: 1. Press the FIND button to display the Find Menu. 2. Highlight a desired "Points of Interest" icon and then press ENTER to display the list of nearest points. 3. Press the MENU key to choose from search options or choose "Select Category" to narrow your search. 4. Highlight the desired item from the list and then press ENTER to display the Information Page for that item. If you are searching for a restaurant that is part of a national chain, only the nearest restaurant to your location is displayed when you search using the "Find Nearest" method. If you search using the "By Name" method, then all of the locations for that chain in the mapping database will be displayed, with the closest to your current location listed first.
