Chapter 4: Installing the New Drive Connecting the drive cables To connect the drive cables: 1 Connect an unused four-color power cable to the power supply connector on each drive. The power supply connector varies between drive types. If the drive uses a Serial ATA power cable, you may need to connect the standard power cable to the end of the Serial ATA cable to complete the power connection.
