Partitioning the new drive To create a logical drive using Windows XP NTFS: 1 Click Start, then click Control Panel. The Control Panel window opens. If your Control Panel is in Category View, click Performance and Maintenance. 2 Click/Double-click Administrative Tools. 3 Double-click Computer Management. The Computer Management window opens. 4 Double-click Disk Management. 5 Right-click free space (available hard drive space) on an extended partition, then click New Logical Drive. 6 Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the New Partition Wizard.
