For instructions, see "Formatting a primary partition using DOS" on page 50. To format a partition or slave drive in Windows XP, Windows Me, Windows 2000, Windows 98, or Windows 95: 1 Double-click the My Computer icon on your desktop. The My Computer window opens. - OR- Click Start, then click My Computer. The My Computer window opens. 2 Right-click the hard drive you want to format. 3 Click Format.
